HIV+ ban on US lifted!

Excellent news... Canadians and others with HIV can now travel freely to the United States, without fear of being turned away at the border. Bush has signed into law an AIDS funding bill that lifts the ban on people with HIV entering the United States!

(Of course, I have to wonder if there are any signing statements attached).

I'm a word geek. I love learning words, and exploring their etymology and usage, as is evidenced by my occasional "vocabulary builder" posts here in my journal.

New Wikipedia article: Hit for hit

With seespikerun as an inspiration, I discovered that Wikipedia didn't have an article about "hit for hit," that ritual combat game that some aggressive young guys play. Surprised me, because I think it's fairly universal, isn't it? So anyway, I started an article, but I've not had a lot of luck finding citations on the web. I need to check the academic literature. Any suggestions?
