In a lot of pain

I've been in an excruciating amount of physical pain over the past two days. My right foot has swollen up and is incredibly painful to step on. I've been hobbling around, barely able to make it to the bathroom. Going to work today was a REAL challenge. Thank the gods for the ADA - Americans with Disabilities Act - passed in the 1990s, which mandated that all office buildings be accessible... and have elevators.

The ADA was at least one thing that the U.S. has done right.

Anyone nearby have a cane that I could borrow? Or a wheelchair?

Nearby = relative to Seattle? I have a couple of canes, actually - I'm not sure they'd be great for your height, but I've at least got them. Well, okay, one, but it's a seriously nifty carved dragon-cane. :) Let me know if you're interested!
