Peruvian Shamans attempt to sway U.S. election

The BBC has a very interesting piece about a group of Shamans in Peru who are using their unique skills to make sure "the right candidate" gets elected in the United States.

You can't make stuff like this up!

(I do worry, though, when the one Shaman says they want the U.S. to get the president it deserves. That's actually a scary thought...)

I think that particular ship has sailed, at least in the past 8 years.

Considering the compromises from all sides that led to the two major candidates, I wonder if just desserts is done yet.

Good point.

Karma can be a real bitch, tho. We still karmically owe two cities destroyed by nuclear weapons, after Hiroshima and Nagasaki.

The United States has an ugly, dirty past, and I'm afraid that getting "the president it deserves" might mean McCain/Palin. :-(

Unfortunately, some members of the voting public and some politicians will never develop any understanding about history and how it affects the world we currently live in.

Ignorance is a dangerous thing.
