R.I.P. Eartha Kitt

Singer and actress Eartha Kitt has died at age 81.

Kitt was always my favourite Catwoman on the Batman TV show, and her single "Santa Baby" has become a Christmas classic.

She also stood up to the Johnson administration during the Vietnam War, and got blacklisted for it.

And my favourite piece of Eartha trivia: A marquee featuring her is prominently visible in Plan 9 From Outer Space, Ed Wood's bad movie masterpiece.

Thank you, Eartha, for all the joy you brought!

It's sad that she's gone. I'm glad that we have recording devices now.

My long-running fantasy of having sex with Ms. Kit has been dashed into pieces. I'm very sad to lose her (and to lose that fantasy).
