R.I.P. Eartha Kitt

Singer and actress Eartha Kitt has died at age 81.

Kitt was always my favourite Catwoman on the Batman TV show, and her single "Santa Baby" has become a Christmas classic.

She also stood up to the Johnson administration during the Vietnam War, and got blacklisted for it.

And my favourite piece of Eartha trivia: A marquee featuring her is prominently visible in Plan 9 From Outer Space, Ed Wood's bad movie masterpiece.

Thank you, Eartha, for all the joy you brought!
