After 22 years of work and gods only know how much money, I finally got...

...a piece of paper.

The text reads:

authority vested in it by law has conferred upon
Kevyn Daniel Jacobs
The Degree of
Bachelor of Arts
Given at Bellingham, in the state of Washington, this

Karen W. Morse

Congratulations, and good luck

It's fantastic now that you've succeeded at one of your big goals. One of the great things about education is that it never has to end, even when you've made it past an official 'marker' of progress. Congratulations on such an important 'marker', i'm so glad you made it this far. But now, even if you never formally get involved with any other classes for a long time, you can still consider yourself to be on a sort of continuous 'field trip'.... you can keep up those attitudes of being always open to learning and always eager for fascination and astonishment which can be found in such sorts of progress. I think it's cool that you received a diploma, partly for the sake of what it will represent to other people; but to me you always seem capable of forever studying and being educated. That doesn't stop just because classes are out! Excelsior, friend!

Thanks. I am sure I'll probably get more education in the future, but right now, I have gone as far as I need to.
