An audacious bid to get cigarettes

AAAAAGH! I'm having major nicotene withdrawals. I'm edgy, jumpy, hostile... and broke. Great, just great.

Anyone want to volunteer to be an enabler for me here and send me $6.50 via PayPal so I can go buy smokes?

Seriously, I'm begging for money for cigaretttes. Save me from having to go panhandle on streetcorners or smoking butts out of ashtrays.

You mention selling on eBay. Are you interested in unloading some of my junk for me there, on commission? (i.e. I give you the stuff and you keep some X% of everything you get for it and send me the rest.) I've been procrastinating, in some cases, for years on this stuff and it would be worth splitting the proceeds just to get it out of the house.

It wouldn't be much (maybe a few hundred dollars worth of stuff?), but it's good cigarette and/or bill money while things settle down.

Hmmm... that's a mighty generous offer, Bax. But I don't think it would work out, logistically. Here's why: You would have to take photos of the items and send them to me, as well as descriptions. You'd also have to handle gathering the packing materials, pack them, and weigh them before we could sell them. (You have to know the shipping weight before the sale so that you can tell prospective buyers how much shipping will be, including the cost of packing materials.)

Then, after they sold, you'd have to handle the actual shipping on your end, also.

It would be an awful lot of work on your end, and all I'd be doing is the listing. Doesn't seem very fair.

If we were closer geographically, where I could handle all of that from my end, I'd say sure, but since you'd be doing almost all of the hard work, well...

Also, my ebay account is suspended for nonpayment of fees. I can't sell anything more on there right now until I pay them $191.00 (long story). So the idea is kind of a nonstarter right now.
