"Our nation was not founded to allow for radicals to question those in power"

This poster appeared all over Red Square at the WWU campus this week. There's no indication of who posted it or where it came from, but it's clearly satire (note the reason for our nation's founding, and the "brought to you by" statement at the bottom).

I was amused enough to blog it.

The text in full reads:

CALLING ALL PATRIOTIC AMERICANS
RADICAL DISSENT IS GROWING ON YOUR CAMPUS
BY QUESTIONING YOUR GOVERNMENT, THEY ARE WEAKENING OUR NATION
ANY SIGN OF INSTABILITY IS AN INVITATION FOR TERRORIST ATTACKS
OUR NATION WAS NOT FOUNDED TO ALLOW FOR RADICALS TO QUESTION THOSE IN POWER
WE CANNOT LET THIS SEED OF DISSENT CONTINUE TO GROW
REPORT ALL SUSPICIOUS PERSONS
THEY MAY EVEN BE YOUR FRIENDS, BUT THEIR DISSENT THREATENS YOUR SAFETY
TOGETHER WE CAN STRENGTHEN OUR DEMOCRACY
BROUGHT TO YOU BY YOUR FRIENDS AT WALL-MART, EXXONN MOBILE, AND WTO

I'm amused that the only thing spelled correctly on the "Brought to you by" statement was WTO.

I think that that may have been a part of the gurrilla theater "occupation" event that went on this week in red square.

Oh, so THAT's where it came from. Thanks. I just saw the article in the Western Front, covering the mock occupation.

War is peace. We are not in a recession.

Were you there for the Guerrilla theatre occupation?
