It's the anniversary of 9/11 again, and I've been thinking about what an appropriate response would have been for the people of the United States to the events of 2001.
How would Martin Luther King, Jr. have us respond to 9/11?
Turn the other cheek.
How would Ghandi have us respond to 9/11?
Turn the other cheek.
How would Jesus have us respond to 9/11?
Answering violence with more violence is not the answer.
If we fight terror with more terror, then the terrorists have won.

Note: Today is a very special day. September 11, 1906 was the day Gandhi started the nonviolence resistance movement. Today marks 100 years of nonviolent resistance, and I am commemorating this most important anniversary.
