Interesting set of questions. Some of the topics I hadn't considered before to be an attribute of a condition, rather thought it was outside circumstances. As I was answering them I was concious of their effect on the result. I also think that my results would have been much different 15 years ago.

I first began to suspect that I was an Aspie in 2003, when I was on Walkabout. I first encountered the idea while in the Yukon, and that it explained a lot about me. Of course, I've never had a professional diagnosis, and I am not sure I really need one - I don't need to be "cured."

Even though Asperger's is called a "syndrome," and is classified as part of the autism spectrum by the medical community, I am actually inclined to believe it's part of the normal spectrum of human intelligence. I think there's a very good evolutionary reason for any given human population to have a certain number of geeks and nerds.
