My friend kennapea and I got together today for our 2nd annual cookie-making extravaganza!

We have made it a tradition to get together every December to make sugar cookies for the holidays. Homemade cookies are an inexpensive, from-the-heart gift I like to give to my family and neighbours during the season.

McKenna and I have a lot of fun doing this. And her sister, Sidney, and her boyfriend, George, helped too!

We spent all afternoon making well over 100 sugar cookies, and decorating them all: trees, gingerbread men, snowmen, bells... I'm sending a dozen to my sister in Iraq, and to my brother and his family in Japan.

I haven't cut it since starting school in 2006, so it's a little more than 2 years of growth.
