Beloved Faeries here is the offical call for the second annual
Vancouver Green Body Gathering II (2006). This past week there
was a mail out of the call to all those who attended last years
gathering, with Hagrid responsible for all US mailings and
Mentor for all Canadian mailings. This year you can also do
everything electronically, including payment via Paypal!!!!! Talk
about the twenty-first century!!! We invite you to visit the web site to

cauldron and taste the urban brew of Vancouver faerie magic.
Step outside of what you know and drink deeply of our
mountain-view mysteries. Journey with us deeply into the
inner-city landscape spreading your faerie magic with every
breath you take, every connection you make. Enter the freedom of
a world between.

>From Friday, September 29 to Monday, October 2, 2006 radical
faeries from around the pacific coast and elsewhere are once
again invited to gather in Vancouver for a unique urban
experience, AKA How to be a Faerie in my Own Backyard. The
second annual Vancouver Green Body Gathering will be
celebrated at the Capri Hall, site of many festive affairs and full of
good vibe.

Sacred Space

We create Sacred Space. Safe space and confidentially are the
bedrock of this. This safety and respect creates freedom for each
of us to dare to fully create magic within ourselves. Within this
space faerie magic empowers us all to our highest
self-expression.

Culture of Respect

Respect is an attitude of acknowledging the feelings and
interests of another. It is a two-way street. We accommodate.
We honour. If you see something you think is inappropriate, or
someone treats you in a way which makes you feel
uncomfortable, find a gentle and direct way of dealing with it.

Location

There will be three locations for this Gathering: the communal
sanctuary, the city, and the individual Sanctuaries each of our
hosts and guests will create. We will dance across bustling
Vancouver & create home wherever we find ourselves. Welcome
Home.

Capri Hall consists of a large, 3300 sq. ft. events hall with a
sprung oak dance floor, a 1200 sq. ft. mezzanine level, a stage, a
snack bar and a fully-equipped kitchen. It is air conditioned.

Sleeping

Faeries from out-of-town are welcome to be lovely & gracious
guests of lovely & gracious Vancouver Faerie hosts and
hostesses (see Registration Form). This will be some of the
potent magic of VGBG, with a web of community being created
across the width and breadth of Vancouver.

Eating

7 meals will be served: Friday night Dinner; Breakfast and
Dinner on Saturday; Breakfast and Lunch on Sunday; and
Breakfast and Lunch on Monday. Please let us know any special
dietary needs we can reasonably accommodate. This leaves 2
dining opportunities to discover the Vancouver restaurant scene,
one of which includes Moxie's for Sunday Dinner.

Saturday's Red Dragon Dinner is one of healing and honouring.
We honour those who have passed on from a dis-ease of the
blood and we invoke healing for those who still struggle, for
those who have survived and for those who still mourn their
losses. The Food we consume, the Liquid we drink and the
clothes we wear will all be red. Please wear red (or something
red), feel free, be fabulous or simply be, there is joy and honor in
this act as well.

Tribe

There will be no more than 99 of us. It will be up to all of us to
create an empowered and joyful communal tribal experience.

Workshops and Events

We create this gathering together. Please let us know if you want
to do a workshop, event, etc. Sanctuary space is limited but
available. Remember, city space is nearly infinite. In addition to
morning Heart Circle, here are some of the things we have
planned already:

Saturday night there will be a Red Dragon Dinner and ceremony

Sunday we're taking to the bushes...

Even better: A week from now, Michael & I are flying to Kansas to go to MMF! I haven't been since the year I bought you that seal lamp at the auction. (I never should bid when I'm stoned!)

If you chose to Bid While Stoned again, I could use another weird lamp. Between the Leg Lamp and the Seal Lamp, I have the start of a collection.

And say hello to Gaia and all the lovely MMFers for me. I was just thinking of how much I miss that place. I really need to take Bax there - preferably during a festival.
