Slept OK last night, got up this morning, had a bagel with cream cheese and tea for breakfast while watching The Daily Show with Jon Stewart on hulu. It's dark and gloomy here this morning, so I turned on my light box, took my meds, then took a shower.

By the time I finished with my shower, I was exhausted... had to force myself to brush my hair... put on a new nicotine patch... I'm going back to bed. I have close to zero energy today...

Update: A nap helped. After a couple of hours and a lunch of ramen, I'm feeling a little better. It's after noon, and I'm ready to start my day...

Interesting question: how do nicotine patches affect iron levels? I wonder if anyone's ever studied that...I realize you haven't been on them long enough to cause the anemia you're seeing, but hm. Or perhaps cigarettes mess with the anemia as well? Just a thought

I haven't heard of any correlation between the two. I was diagnosed anemic more than a year prior to quitting smoking.
