Wow. I just had an unexpected visit from my psychiatric caseworker at the local clinic. I don't have a phone, and he doesn't do email, so he decided the best thing to do was come check up on me at home in person. I'm impressed.
As part of my crash course in geography, I've been studying The States of México. In doing so, I came upon something amusing:

One of the states in Central México is called "Hidalgo." It's a Spanish word meaning "nobleman." What's funny is the etymology of the word. Hidalgo is a contraction of a rather sarcastic phrase: "hijo de algo," which means "son of something."

Hee hee hee. Someone wasn't too impressed with the Spanish aristocracy back in the middle ages. ;-)
